When Kimberley contacted us in October about covering her and Peter’s morning wedding on the New Year’s Day, my initial reaction was “no way I can get up early after the New Year’s Eve”. Then it struck me, my wife was due to give birth in two weeks, and come the New Year, the days will be starting bright and early for me. And so, bring the clock forward to the New Year’s Day, and I was up at 6am and more than ready for the 10am start .

I am really glad I got the opportunity to be the wedding photographer at Kimberley and Peter’s big day. We started with Kim’s bridal preparation at the Marque Hotel in Perth. There, we had a very funny situation when Kim needed to check out of the hotel and she diligently lined up behind five other people all ready in her dress and with the bouquet in hand. Thankfully, the people in front and the Marque staff allowed her to jump the queue and we got moving quickly. The ceremony was held at the Old Tea Pavillion in Kings Park. The location photos were done in the nearby pine tree area of Kings Park, as well as the University of Western Australia (probably our favourite spot for wedding photography) and a stretch of beach between the Cottesloe beach and the Swanbourne beach.

This was such an awesome day, and Kim and Peter, thank you so much for making us a part of it!
