We learnt something new at Lisa and Damien’s wedding – we learnt that in Mauritius, the groom’s mother walks the groom down the isle too. We thought that this was the most natural thing to do at a wedding, and we left wondering why such beautiful tradition never set a foot in most other cultures.

The wedding ceremony took place at the Tropical Grove at The University of Western Australia, a venue very dear to our heart. It was the venue Marina and I were meant to get married at, before rain washed away those dreams on a rainy February day in 2007.

For location photos, we stayed around the university grounds before heading off to Swanbourne beach for some sand, sun, and a lot of fun. It was a brilliant day, rounded off with a lovely reception at the very inviting Indiana at Cottesloe.
