Married life is about sacrifices. Guys know that. Especially guys like Jared. What else would you call a Kiwi guy getting married at the same time the All Blacks are playing a World Cup quarter final, except the ultimate sacrifice? Well, he did it, and together with everyone else, we appreciated the sacrifice. We got to photograph a beautiful wedding, involving beautiful people at beautiful locations.
We started with Sam’s bridal preparation shots at the Duxton Hotel in Perth. We love going to the Duxton and similar hotels to make use of their grand interiors for portrait backdrops. The ceremony was held at the lovely lawn area outside the Old Swan Brewery, the well-known Perth landmark that also hosted the reception. In between the ceremony and reception we popped over the road to the fig tree park area for some location photography.
The rugby record books will say that the All Blacks won on that day, but we feel we were also winners with getting a chance to photograph this wedding.
