Weddings are events that are carefully planned well in advance, but sometimes the best of plans cannot include every possible contingency. A case in point – Sue and Rob’s wedding at the Yanchep National Park. The plan was to get married on a gorgeous late Saturday afternoon – check, wrapped around in a glow of warm sunlight – check, with their lovely families – check, overlooking a beautiful lake – well, this last bit did not really work out . The well known Loch Mcness at the national park dried up for the first time in a very long time, after Perth’s warmest spring on record and the driest in 41 years. To be honest, we did not mind this at all, as the dried lake gave an edgy and unique backdrop for wedding photography. Sue and Rob were not bothered either, they were too busy enjoying this wonderful day. We were delighted to be there to capture it.
