Those of you that read our blog regularly will know that the words are not its strength . A particularly bad example of writer’s block is here - we’ve been sitting on this blog post now for about a week. We’re simply having difficulties conveying just how beautiful Zara and Andrew’s wedding was, and what a great experience it was to share this day with them.
The wedding was held in Kojonup, which is a small country town approximately 260km south of Perth. In Kojonup, the sun bakes the golden barley fields and sheep outnumber people by a ratio of almost 500 to 1. Wikipedia tells us that the Kojonup Shire was the first shire in Western Australia to have one million sheep!! One of many sheep farms is Andrew’s family farm, and it was there that the beautiful wedding ceremony was held.
Before the ceremony, we spent some time with Andrew and his groomsmen. This group was an athletic one, and they calmed nerves by playing some living room football as well as backyard golf. The girls got ready at the lovely Jacaranda Heights bed and breakfast. From there, we drove to the farm for the ceremony and were greeted by statues of Zara and Andrew made entirely of hay bales!
The location photos were taken around the farm - the light was just magnificient and the views were breathtaking. We even used a shearing shed as a backdrop for some photos!
The reception was held at the Stone Mason's Distillery, which was so tastefully decorated for the evening. Most of the decorations, just like the invitations and the gorgeous little details that this wedding was full of, were designed by Zara herself!
This really is a mega post, with close to 100 photos. This was a mega experience for us and it could not have been any other way.
